The Phone That Texted the Future

The Phone That Texted the Future

Kojo bought the phone for cheap.

Too cheap.

The seller smiled oddly and said, “You’ll see.”

Kojo should’ve walked away.

He didn’t.

That night, his phone buzzed.

A message popped up from an unknown number:

“Don’t go outside tomorrow at 3:15 PM.”

Kojo frowned. “Weird.”

The next day, curiosity got the best of him.

At exactly 3:15 PM…

He stepped outside.

A motorbike lost control and crashed right where he would’ve been standing.

Kojo stumbled back, shaking.

“How did…?”

Another message came.

“Take the blue bus, not the red one.”

He obeyed.

The red bus broke down halfway.

Soon, Kojo relied on the phone for everything—decisions, risks, even small choices.

His life became perfect.

Too perfect.

Until one message came that changed everything:

“Do NOT trust your best friend.”

Kojo’s heart sank.

“No… that’s wrong.”

He ignored it.

That night, his best friend betrayed him.

Kojo stared at the phone, trembling.

“Why didn’t I listen…?”

Another message appeared instantly:

“Because you still believe you’re in control.”

Kojo dropped the phone.

From that day on, he understood something chilling:

Knowing the future doesn’t give you power…

It gives you responsibility.
