THE LAST MESSAGE ON EARTH Part 1: The Warning

It started with a vibration.

Not just mine.

Everyone’s.

At exactly 9:03 PM, every phone in the room buzzed at the same time.

Mine.

My friend Daniel’s.

Even the teacher’s phone on the desk.

We all looked down.

Same message.

Same sender.

No number.

No name.

UNKNOWN:
“This is your final warning.”

“What kind of joke is this?” Daniel laughed.

Someone at the back shouted, “Probably a prank!”

The whole class started buzzing with noise.

Screens lighting up everywhere.

Everyone had it.

I frowned.

Something felt… off.

Another message came.

UNKNOWN:
“Do not ignore this.”

This time, fewer people laughed.

“Okay… that’s weird,” someone whispered.

The teacher grabbed her phone, confused. “Alright, everyone relax. It’s probably just a system error—”

Her phone buzzed again.

We all looked down at ours.

UNKNOWN:
“You have been warned.”

Silence.

A strange, heavy silence filled the room.

Then—

Daniel smirked.

“Watch this.”

“Don’t,” I said quickly.

“I’m serious, bro… something’s not right.”

He rolled his eyes.

“You’re scared of a text message?”

Before I could stop him—

He typed.

Daniel:
“Or what?”

He hit send.

Nothing happened.

He laughed. “See? Fake.”

A few people relaxed.

Some even started joking again.

Then Daniel’s phone buzzed.

He looked down.

His smile faded.

“What?” I asked.

He didn’t answer.

“Daniel?”

Slowly… he turned his phone toward me.

My heart dropped.

UNKNOWN:
“You were told not to ignore this.”

Before I could say anything—

Daniel disappeared.

Not like he ran.

Not like he moved.

One second he was there.

The next—

Gone.

No sound.

No flash.

No trace.

Just… empty space where he used to be.

Someone screamed.

Phones dropped.

Chairs scraped loudly across the floor.

“What just happened?!” someone shouted.

My hands started shaking.

“This… this isn’t real…”

But it was.

The room exploded into panic.

People rushing out.

Calling names.

Crying.

The teacher stood frozen.

Her face pale.

Then—

Her phone buzzed again.

Mine too.

Everyone’s.

Slowly…

Terrified…

I looked down.

UNKNOWN:
“This is your final warning.”

My heart pounded violently.

Then another message appeared.

UNKNOWN:
“You are all being watched.”

My breathing stopped.

And then—

“Next time… there will be more.”
