📱 THE LAST MESSAGE ON EARTH
Part 2: The Pattern
No one slept that night.
By morning…
The whole world knew.
It wasn’t just our class.
Not just our school.
Not even just our city.
It was everywhere.
Every phone.
Every country.
Every person.
Same message.
Same warning.
And people were disappearing.
Videos flooded the internet.
Clips of people vanishing mid-sentence.
A man arguing on a live stream—gone.
A woman crossing the street—gone.
A child crying—then silence.
No glitches.
No edits.
No explanations.
Just… gone.
“This has to be fake,” my mom said, pacing the room.
But her hands were shaking.
The TV was worse.
“Authorities are urging citizens to remain calm—”
“—we still don’t understand what’s happening—”
“—millions reporting the same message—”
Millions.
I sat there, staring at my phone.
Waiting.
Hoping it wouldn’t buzz again.
It did.
My heart jumped.
UNKNOWN:
“You continue to ignore the warning.”
My throat went dry.
“I didn’t do anything…” I whispered.
Another message came instantly.
UNKNOWN:
“Observation continues.”
I felt sick.
Then something clicked.
I grabbed my laptop and started watching videos again.
Not randomly.
Carefully.
Looking for something… anything.
And then I saw it.
A pattern.
Every person who disappeared…
Did something first.
One shouted at the message.
One laughed at it.
One tried to destroy their phone.
They all reacted.
“They’re not random…” I whispered.
My mom looked at me. “What?”
“They’re watching how people respond.”
Silence.
Then—
Her phone buzzed.
We both froze.
Slowly…
She picked it up.
Her hands trembled.
UNKNOWN:
“You are being evaluated.”
My heart pounded harder.
“Mom… don’t reply,” I said quickly.
“I’m not,” she whispered.
But I could see it in her eyes.
Fear.
Real fear.
Then—
A third message came.
UNKNOWN:
“Non-compliance detected.”
My chest tightened.
“What does that mean?!”
Before we could react—
There was a scream outside.
We ran to the window.
A man stood in the street, shouting at his phone.
“THIS ISN’T REAL!” he yelled.
“WHOEVER YOU ARE, SHOW YOURSELF!”
People watched from a distance.
No one moved closer.
His phone buzzed again.
He looked down.
And then—
He disappeared.
Right in front of us.
My mom covered her mouth.
I stepped back slowly.
“This isn’t just a warning…” I said, my voice shaking.
“It’s a test.”
Silence filled the room.
Then my phone buzzed again.
Slowly…
I looked down.
UNKNOWN:
“You are beginning to understand.”
My stomach dropped.
Then one final message appeared.
UNKNOWN:
“You are next.”
